Derek T. Sullivan
Of Counsel
Derek T. Sullivan practices general civil litigation with a focus on business litigation, trust and estate litigation, consumer protection and class action lawsuits. Derek has represented clients in actions involving shareholder disputes, fiduciary duties, tort, contract disputes, landlord tenant and security deposit issues, and unfair or deceptive business practices. He has experience handling all aspects of civil litigation with a focus and passion for legal research, analysis, and writing.
Derek received a B.A. in Outdoor Education from Johnson State College in 2004 prior to attending Northeastern University School of Law and receiving his J.D. in 2014. After law school, Derek served as a Law Clerk to the Justices of the Superior Court of Massachusetts and later as a Senior Law Clerk to the Justices. After serving as a law clerk, Derek joined the firm of Metaxas Brown Pidgeon in Beverly, Massachusetts as an associate attorney in September of 2016.
In January of 2020 Derek joined DDSK Law as Of Counsel where he assists the firm in all aspects of its practice. Derek also maintains his own solo practice, the Law Office of Derek T. Sullivan.
When not practicing law, Derek is a consummate outdoorsman, spending much of his time rock climbing, hiking, traveling, and exploring. He is currently hiking the 48 4000-foot mountains of New Hampshire’s White Mountain National Forest and can be found climbing on the boulders of New England on any given weekend. Derek serves on the Board of Directors for the Southeast New England Climbers Coalition (SNECC) and coaches the adult climbing team at his home gym, MetroRock, in Newburyport, Massachusetts.
